Contemporarily, was part of the scientific diving staff of the Institute, performing Environmental Impact Analysis (EIA) and monitoring some artificial reefs in the North of Greece. From 1998 until now I am also involved in carrying out visual census of the cetacean population in the Gulf of Kavala, as well as interviewing local fishermen about damages/losses caused to the fleet – in term of net damage - by the dolphins’ population and in writing of the application of European projects concerning the aforementioned subject and the possibility of protecting and monitoring some areas of particular interest. In 2003 I was uncharged of the coordination of the ANREC project (QLRT-2001-01216) “Association of Physical and Biological processes acting on Recruitment and Post-Recruitment stages of Anchovy” funded by the Fifth Framework Program of the EEC.
2005 (summer): Naturalistic guide at the Resort Ventaclub Pian dei Mucini, where I engaged the Environmental Education of the tourist guests, both adults and children. During my permanence I kept relation with the local communities for the touristic development of the area, proposing several activities inside and outside the village. I also delivered theoretical lessons and practical activities on biology and ecology of local flora and fauna.
